Our first time to Puerto Rico for a photography work trip / vacation did not disappoint!
I was so excited ( and nervous) to fly all the way down to Puerto Rico to shoot a wedding. It's the wedding of one of my good friend, Megan. Her and her (now husband) planned a destination wedding on a little island off of PR called Vieques. Let me tell you, PR is beautiful as is, but Vieques was just gorgeous! The water was crystal clear and warm, the people on the island were nice, I loved that basically everyone on the island drives Jeep Wranglers ha! And the food-oh my goodness so delicious!
This was my first destination wedding I have shot so I was extra nervous. It helped that 1. I know Megan's family very well and 2. I had Ben with me to be my partner and help me with taking the photos AND fly the drone! He got some amazing shots that I couldn't necessarily get because I was busy shooting something else, but the aerial shots he got of everything-amazing!! I also did my first 'trash the dress' session with Megan and that was so much fun, I hope to be able to do that again the future. I'll probably do another blog post regarding the photography Ben and I shot in Vieques. The photos came out beautifully, and honestly, I didn't have to do much editing because between the views, the sky, the sand, everything was just already gorgeous!
Of course I had to take some #ootd photos while down there! It was nice because not only did Ben and I work shooting the wedding, but we also got to make a vacation out of it! So we got to relax with the families, do fun activities, go way out of my comfort zone to try new things-and I'm so glad I did it, these memories we made in PR will last a life time! I hope we can go back in the future!
